In this 4 week class, we're going to take a deep dive into Art Journals and Mixed Media to explore drawing, collage/assemblage, acrylic inks, watercolor, pens, pigments, coffee & tea staining, using recycled and common materials and making our own stamps ! This is a great way to see how all those expensive art supplies work before you buy them. We'll explore mark making, pattern , color and composition. There are a lot of Art Journal and/ or Mixed media classes out there, so why should you take this one? First, I make my own Botanical inks, papers/prints, hand carved stamps and studied how to make hand bound books in Florence, Italy. Come and learn from an artist who's Mixed Media Work has been in shows in Rome, Florence , Berlin , parts of Canada and the US. Supplies: Students bring their own 9 X 14'' coil bound Mixed Media Art Journal. All other supplies are provided ( and that's a lot!) Note: his is addictive and so much fun... hey, don't say I didn't warn you!
