Service Description

While I am a professional artist, I have studied with some of the very best watercolour artists/instructors from Canada, the US and Italy - Harold Allanson, Stephen Quiller, John Salminen, Carla O'Connor, Leslie Redhead and Marco Klee Fallani and they don't get any better than this fabulous group! In this class, for students who have taken my Watercolor 101 class, we focus on color theory/mixing, transparency, building compositions, semi-professional techniques,how to introduce opacity in order to paint light, shadow and atmosphere! We focus each week, on gaining confidence in this medium. Class handouts , demonstrations and supplies are provided. Please Note: Students at this level should be prepared to work independently as well as in a group setting. Each student at this level will work to develop finished paintings in a subject or style that interests them. This class focuses on a higher level of technique/ painting mastery, color theory, color mixing and strong compositions ( finished paintings). Shadow and light, three dimensional form, transparency and opacity, mood and expression, developing original compositions from your own photos are all areas to consider at this level.
